Vandana Taxali is an art-tech entrepreneur and intellectual property lawyer working at the intersection of art/digital media/entertainment, IP, law, AI, NFTs, blockchain, web3 and innovative technologies skilled at combining her legal acumen with creative innovation. With degrees in both Canadian and American law, she has adeptly navigated the complex realms of innovative technologies including blockchain, AI, and VR and the metaverse within the creative industries.

She is experienced in navigating complex business & legal landscapes, advocating for creator rights and social justice, and pioneering IP protection strategies in the digital space striving for equitable access to resources and opportunities for startups, creators and underserved sectors. Vandana is the founder of art-tech-law platform, Artcryption, that adeptly combines innovative technology to safeguard and monetize creative assets and intellectual property for creators.

She is also an art agent/lawyer and works in all areas of artist representation including, curating exhibitions, brand collaborations, and managing international gallery exhibitions. Notable clients/projects: Harry Rosen, Royal Canadian Mint, Old Navy, Freed Developments, Nike, etc.

She holds a law certificate from Christie's Auction House and is a certified art arbitrator with the International Court of Art at The Hague. She actively participates in the Standard Council of Canada's blockchain committee and the Art Identity Standard (AIS), NFT Working Group.

As a consultant for digiArt.ca, she champions the integration of innovative technologies like AR, VR, and blockchain for creators and artists. Vandana is an advocate for artists’ rights, especially as it pertains to copyright protection, resale royalties and fair compensation. Vandana's is a startup mentor for various tech accelerators including the Fineline Accelerator supported by OCAD University digiFest (George Brown college), FuelArts, an art-tech accelerator for artists etc.

A regular speaker at major conferences and startup mentor, Vandana offers insights on intellectual property, artist rights, and emerging technologies like NFTs and AI. Her works crosses law, art, and technology marks and the impact of the art world's future in the digital age.
